Welcome to the VA Sandbox Cloud, part of Future Technology Laboratory (FTL) innovation portfolio! The VHA Innovation Program’s sandbox is a development infrastructure and software as a service platform that is publicly accessible and external to the VA’s internal network. The Sandbox is a valuable technical resource for VA employees, contractors, and third party developers, whose goals are to develop software to improve healthcare for Veterans
The sandbox provides a number of services to users which are being updated and enhanced on a continual basis. The sandbox has been designed from ground up to support innovative development efforts in any form; from software development to simply evaluating new COTS or collaborating on processes and procedures. The Innovation Sandbox Cloud under the FTL is a destructive development and test environment well suited for innovation research without risk to VA systems or VA data.
The WebHelpDesk collaboration tool is used for all support collaboration including requests of resources and assistance. All supported projects must also have a wiki home page in the sandbox with the points of contact for their project and a VHA Innovations GitHub repository. Beyond those requirements, other services are provided as optional capabilities to help projects succeed in producing output that brings benefit to the U.S. Veterans or U.S. Soldiers (Veterans to be).
If you don't see what you want (and can't find it in the search at the upper right), use the WebHelpDesk to make a request. (see below) other services are provided as optional capabilities to help projects succeed in producing output that brings benefit to the U.S. Veterans or U.S. Soldiers (Veterans to be).
